Culture for the Uncultured

My name is Connor MacDonald. I’m a writer from Canada, and never had much success getting my fiction works published. I served briefly as a ghost-writer for a comedy publication, but hung that hat up to pursue “real world” things. I realized that I don’t need to be discouraged, and that I can make a home for my fellow “Philistines” to write, laugh, and read each other’s works. That is the core of what the Philistine Review actually is. We focus on short stories, essays, rants, reviews, trashy articles – and whatever else we want.

We are only recently founded, but I have a body of work that remains unpublished (as of 2026) that I’m willing to share with you all. If you wish to contribute to our online magazine feel free to reach out to us.
