Rhythm (Original Napkin Poetry)

By Connor MacDonald:

Do you feel the rhythm?

When we’re apart, are you with him?

The beat, the pulse,

The nuts, the cheat.

A dark closet opening,

Was it a surprise homecoming?

Guilt hidden through accusation,

A causation, a castration.

Friendship betrayed,

Lost over a clandestine fuckparade.

The flash of a switchblade,

A true love decayed.

A silent room.

A silent heart.

The displaced groom.

Two souls set apart.

A man on the run.

No longer someone.
