Tautological
Don’t you ever want to think,
Think of the meanings we once had?
The flutter of a heart out of sync,
Means I can’t be your Galahad.
Symbols of true purity form your insecurity,
Your true self is marked with obscurity.
The shroud, shroud, shroud of you
Is proud, proud, proud of what you knew
The coolness, coolness, coolness of me
Was a cruelness, cruelness, cruelness wrapped in a plea.
How could I ever remove the veil?
When I can’t even see the Grail.
Melancholia doesn’t suit my spirit,
My spirit is choleric and wild.
It comes to life when you’re near it.
I know you look at me like a man-child,
But it’s easier to pretend to be strong
Than to admit that you are wrong.
