I Was Never There (Original Napkin Poetry)

I Was Never There

I see deep inside.
At what has died.
It is I, I cry.
It is I that died.

How depressed am I,
To have repressed
That which I
Could have done best.
Instead, I’ve regressed.

Please help me, I cry.
As I try to stay alive.
In a world that doesn’t care.
That I was even there.

Why try, why care.
For in the end were you ever really there?
